Diverse Learning Environments
In our First Buddies Class, our little ones experience social interaction with other children in a warm and nurturing environment. The child’s individual emerging personality is respected. We provide an environment where children are safe, secure and are allowed to explore at their own pace.
7 months-2 years: 3-5 times a week
Our focus for the 2-3 year old children is to allow the children to explore their environment naturally according to their individual interest and inner needs. This is the time to prepare the children for learning the basic social skills, language, math and science concepts through playing and everyday life activities in a very concrete way.
2-3 years: 3-5 times a week
The Kindergarten children will have opportunities each day for individual work, group activities, cooperative play and interaction with other children and teachers in the Montessori environment. The children are exposed to different areas of interest such as Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Cultural Studies, Arts and Crafts, Music and Physical Education. Concrete Montessori exercises enable them to learn
many different concepts at their own pace and level readiness.
3-6 years: 5 times a week
The Lollikids Daycare was adopted from an Australian Daycare Programming integrated with Emergent Programming which focuses teaching in creative and stimulating manner both for the child and the teacher.
As our preschoolers are dismissed from class they are endorsed under the loving care of our daycare teachers. In the afternoon, the children are enriched with
daycare activities and enjoy light snack,
bathe and early dinner.
Lollikids Daycare will relieve you from worries of leaving your child at home, watching television with unsupervised nannies. While balancing your busy life between family and work, entrusting your child with us in a safe, homelike-nurturing environment will ease your worries.
MIXED AGE GROUPS
The Lollikids Pre-school observes the mixed-age principle in Montessori Education. It is a relevant approach observed in a Montessori environment. Learners work together in classes that span a three-year age group, typically ages 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, and 13-14 years. All Montessori classes are based on a three-year cycle. Montessori philosophy is based on the growth of the child at his own pace and developmental level. The children are grouped with others of similar needs in each curricular area, working with older or younger
children as appropriate. This arrangement allows each child to learn at his or her own pace regardless of chronological age, and allows children to learn from each other.
